The 24th Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest
When: Friday – September 07, 2018 @ 02:00PM to Sunday – September 9, 2018 @ 05:00PM
Where: Main Street, Breckenridge, Colorado
Oktoberfest in Breckenridge is one of the most vibrant, world-class and largest festivals in the Rocky Mountains. It’s been going strong for more than twenty years and offers locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy Paulaner Bier, German food, live music, keg tapping and children’s activities.
Breckenridge closes its Main Street to blend a unique Alpine feel with traditional German fair featuring more than three-dozen genuine German cuisine and brew vendors, excessive Bavarian lederhosen dancing and a weekend packed full of sunshine and fun for all ages.
The Oktoberfest weekend is full of entertainment for everyone; make sure to visit face-painting stations, enjoy the 5k run, practice your Polka dancing and test your skills at a wide variety of German themed games, including the popular Hammerschlagen.
Tips from the locals
The last day is the busiest! If you want to enjoy, without the huge crowds, come Friday afternoon and Saturday.
Escape the lines – get lunch before 11 or after 2. Getting lunch a little earlier or later will save you time waiting in lines.
Experience our businesses, the easy way – The party may be outside, but restaurants and stores are empty.
Our suggestion to enjoy the event to its fullest is to make it a weekend-long mountain getaway. The event takes place during one of the most spectacular times of year. Take in the scenic views of the vivid yellow Aspen trees and the breathtaking fall foliage.
Keep your eyes open for special Oktoberfest lodging packages.
